A DISTRIBUTION company in Harborough has received a prestigious award recognising its performance over the year at an industry awards ceremony.

Stephen Sanderson Transport, based on the Riverside Industrial Estate in Harborough, is celebrating after being voted Delivery Depot of the Year at the Palletline Awards.

The Palletline Awards are hotly contested and coveted by Palletline member companies across the UK as a real measure of achievement and recognition.

The award formally recognises Stephen Sanderson Transport’s performance based not only on volumes delivered but by also rewarding quality, accuracy and sustained service levels over the past year.

It is the third year running the Harborough company has won the award.

Ed Sanderson, business development manager at Sanderson, said: “We’re starting to feel almost invincible in this category!

“Seriously, the award reflects the hard work of the entire team over a 12-month period.

“To win it for the third time shows the commitment and dedication of our people here, and also the focus we put on excellence in customer service.”

Stephen Sanderson Transport was first established in 1973 and has grown from one-man-with-a-van through to a national haulage company.

It operates about 60 vehicles throughout the UK and Europe, offering customers a comprehensive range of transport-related services, from single pallets through to full loads.
