A BUSINESS owner has thanked his customers for supporting his shop during the first year of opening.

Once Upon a Time in Station Street, Kibworth, marked its first anniversary with fun activities on Saturday.

The shop offered bubbly, nibbles, goodie bags, discounts and entry to a free raffle, the prize being either a boy’s or girl’s outfit worth £60.

The winner was Bea Bradley.

Mickey Mouse also popped by to say hello.

Owner Bryn Ward, who runs the shop with his wife Kim, said: “Regardless of the sombre weather we had a really good turnout.

“We really appreciated the support and would like to thank all those who attended and have supported us over the last year. It’s reassuring to know that even in these uncertain economic times people are still looking to dress their children in style for special occasions.”
