Children’s holiday charity appealing for business support

A CHARITY which supports children across the county is asking for businesses in the Harborough and Lutterworth area for help to provide a coach.

The Leicester Children’s Holiday Centre takes dozens of children from the county to Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes Pleasure Island every year.

However, the regular sponsor of the coach trip during the holiday season has been forced to withdraw this year, leaving the charity looking for an emergency sponsor.

Jim Roberts, chairman of the trustees, said: “The coach is an expensive item and so it is hoped that Leicestershire businesses will come forward to fund the cost of the coach for this trip which is so important to children who are probably experiencing a seaside holiday for the first time.”

“The total cost of the coach during the holiday weeks is £2,700.”
