Care home to get £1.3m revamp after takeover

A FIRM which took over a Lutterworth area care home earlier this year is to spend £1.3m giving the building an extensive revamp.

Lutterworth Country House Care Home, in Bitteswell, was taken over by the MY Care Group in March this year.

The care home in Ashby Lane had closed down last year.

MY Care Group managing director Paul Hearn said: “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to open another care home in the area.

“The Lutterworth home will offer valuable, local help to those who need it, and we’re excited about the project.”

The care home will be the tenth for MY Care Group, which currently operates nine homes across the region and which have a specialism in the provision of dementia care.

The purpose-built property offered 60 single rooms with en suite facilities, providing the highest levels of care to its residents.

Banking firm Santander has loaned the MY Care Group the money to bring the building up to scratch.

Gary McLouglin, relationship director for Santander, said: “MY Care Group’s care homes are of the highest standard.

“Paul has a phenomenal understanding of the social healthcare market, and has an incredible passion for what he does. We are delighted to be able to help such a worthy local business continue to develop, and look forward to more opportunities to develop our relationship with the team there in the future.”
