TODDLERS took their teddy bears to nursery for a funfilled fundraising day.
Progress House Day Nursery, in Northampton Road, Harborough, held the ‘Bring a Bear’ day to celebrate Paddington Bear’s 50th anniversary and to raise money for the Touching Tiny Lives campaign.

About 30 children and parents took part in activities throughout the day. The children paid £1 to bring their teddy bear or favourite cuddly toy to the nursery for a day.

There was also a raffle with prizes donated from Harborough businesses.

A total of £150 was raised for the campaign, which helps sick and vulnerable babies.

Manager of the nursery, Jenny Craythorn, said: “The children were all very excited about bringing their bears to nursery and taking part in the fundraising activities. I would like to thank all the businesses in the town who donated prizes for our raffle and name- the-bear competition.”
