Prison cannabis accused sent for trial

A MAN charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply it at Gartree Prison has been sent for trial at Leicester Crown Court by Harborough magistrates.
The bench heard last Thursday that a previous court had declined jurisdiction in the case against Robert Davies (46), of Winn Gardens, Sheffield.
He is charged with possessing the drug at the prison with intent to supply it on October 3 last year.
Magistrates committed Davies for trial at Leicester Crown Court on June 26. His unconditional bail was extended.
