A MAN has appeared in court charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent following an alleged street fight in Great Glen which left two men hospitalised
Police said one man suffered head injuries and was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary by ambulance, but was transferred to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre the following day when his condition worsened.

He remains in the hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable. A second man suffered a broken leg in the incident and has since been released from hospital.

Justin Kirkpatrick (25), of St Cuthbert's Avenue, Great Glen, appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Monday (June 29) charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the incident in Sence Crescent, which was alleged to have happened at about 9.50pm last Friday (June 26).

He gave no indication of plea and matters were adjourned to October 5 at Leicester Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
Kirkpatrick was remanded into custody.
