A TEENAGER from Harborough has been accepted for an audition of mega-hit television show The X Factor.
Natasha Burman (16), who entered this year’s Harborough Carnival Queen contest, will be heading to Birmingham for a heat of the ITV programme this Sunday.

A delighted Natasha, of Welland Park Road, said: “I was shocked to get my application form back saying I’d got in – I didn’t think they’d get back to me.”

Thousands of hopefuls attend the heats, which are also occurring in London and Manchester, with only a small proportion making the final cut for the TV broadcast.

Natasha will have to face a panel of judges to get a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ which may be comprised of Mr Nasty Simon Cowell and music mogul Louis Walsh.

The show, in its fifth series, is likely to be screened in the autumn.
