A CAMPAIGN group fighting against a proposed wind farm near Ashby Magna is to fly a balloon near the site to show residents how tall the turbines could be.
Against the Wind Farm At Low Spinney (AWFALS) is battling proposals submitted by Broadview Energy to build four turbines near the village.
The group has been given a blimp, which will be flown at a height of 125 metres, the approximate height of the proposed turbines, this Sunday.
They are asking for people to take photos of the blimp from where they live to demonstrate the height.
Tony Leatham, from the campaign group, said: “We hope that people, as they go about their normal Sunday business, will see the blimp, and get a feel for just how high these things are.”
