A FIRE broke out in a laundry room at Care Shangton yesterday (May 8).
Firefighters from Kibworth were called out to the centre in Melton Road, which looks after people with learning difficulties, at about 5.55pm.

A spokesman for the fire service said it is believed the freak fire was caused by "over-heated nylon packed tightly together".

There was 80 per cent smoke damage to the room.
