AN OPTICIAN in Lutterworth has donated £350 to Diabetes UK by giving money from every eye exam during June.
Specsavers, in Church Street, donated £1 from every check-up in June to the charity.

Store director Abhijit Roy said: “We are delighted to be able to donate this money to an extremely worthwhile cause.

“Every five minutes in the UK someone is diagnosed with diabetes, which is the leading cause of blindness in the working-age population.”
