A NEW orchestra is being launched by the Great Bowden Recital Trust (GBRT).

The All Age Orchestra, which is the 8th choir and ensemble run by the Trust, will launch on January 8.

Rehearsals will then take place fortnightly at St Dionysius Community Hall, in Coventry Road, Harborough from 7.30-9.30pm.

The orchestra will be playing a range of music including film and television themes, well-known classics and folk songs.

They are recruiting brass, wind, string and percussion musicians of Grade 4 standard or higher.

The musical director is the highly-experienced Tony Rifugiato, who has extensive experience with orchestras, brass bands and wind bands.

The GBRT also runs adult flute and vocal choirs, Carnival Drums, Jazz and Swing Band, Sax Choir and youth flute and vocal choirs.
