An array of events for ‘cultural quarter’

A FEAST of cultural events are being held at five venues around Harborough’s Church Square tomorrow night (Friday).

Five town institutions – the library, museum, theatre, parish church and Old Grammar School – are all hosting a night of cultural events and organisers are hoping it can act as a springboard for the area being known as Harborough’s ‘cultural quarter’.

The Museum and More at Night event is getting all of the five venues involved as well as the new Simply Simon’s bistro cafe in nearby Adam and Eve Street.

The event features tours, crafts and Harborough Movie Makers’ film screenings at the museum, a talk on astronomy by the National Space Centre at the library, a Victorian school lesson and talk at the Old Grammar School, tours of the 14th century parish church, a performance of black comedy play ‘The Memory Of Water’ at the theatre and a wine and poetry night at Simply Simon’s.

There are leaflets and posters with more detailed information placed in all the venues.

Alternatively, phone the museum on 01858 821085.
