BAG packing at Waitrose helped Market Harborough Lions Club to raise more than £400 for its charities.

Lions members packed bags last month at the store in Springfield Street.

The club has issued a big thank you to the store for allowing them to hold the event there and in doing so helping them to raise £434 for charity.

The group’s president Graham Sharp recently presented a certificate of appreciation to Kelvin MacPherson at Waitrose.

Mr Sharp said: “We’re really grateful to Waitrose for their help.

“As well as helping us to raise some funds, we were also able to tell shoppers about some of our forthcoming events.”
