Rare Yeti footage captured in Harborough town centre

Waiting for Video...

A Himalayan ape-man considered a myth by many has been spotted alive and well on the streets of Harborough.

The Yeti - captured on film by the Mail - was seen waiting for a bus in The Square, stopping to kiss a shopper outside Tesco and performing press-ups on a bench near the war memorial.

He was in town on Monday to promote the Avalanche Run taking place at Wrongs Farm in Sibbertoft on Sunday, February 17.

The event will see runners invited to chase the Yeti over a 10km course, described by organisers as one of the toughest winter races of 2013.

About 300 people are expected to take part in the adventure run, for which real snow is being guaranteed.

This will be provided by the lorryload by {http://www.snozoneuk.com|SnoZone in Milton Keynes|Click here to link} in case Mother Nature does not oblige.

Runners are encouraged to collect sponsorship for the Children’s Air Ambulance.

The event has been organised by Quest Events and is being promoted by AWOL Adventure.
