A GRAMMY award-winning rock ‘n’ roll icon is set to play in Harborough on Saturday, May 12, to help promote his new album.

Duane Eddy is regarded as a pinoeering guitarist and is responsible for such massive hits as Peter Gunn, Shazam, Rebel Rouser, Because they’re Young, Movin ‘n Groovin and many more.

Inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, the American guitar legend has influenced generations of budding guitarists, some of who have gone on to become household names including George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ry Cooder, Jeff Lynne and John Fogerty.

Former Pulp guitarist and record producer Richard Hawley has produced his new album ‘Road Trip’.

Special guest at the event will be folk singer Nell Bryden.

Tickets for the gig on Saturday, May 12, (doors 7.30pm) cost £20 in advance, and can be bought on 01858 446662 or by visiting www.madhatter-concerts.co.uk.
