Love is in the air as the Harborough Collective presents a romantic Valentine’s concert at the town’s Congregational Church.

Romantic Visions will see Harborough-based professional flautist Lisa Nelsen join the Collective in Gluck’s Melodie ‘Dance of the Blessed Spirits’ from his opera Orfeo ed Eridice.

Also in the line-up are Beethoven’s gorgeous Romance in F, featuring the brilliant violinist David Le Page, Mozart’s ‘Andante in C’, and Wagner’s ‘Siegfried Idyll’ which was written as a gift to the composer’s wife after the birth of their son.

There will be a chance after the concert to meet the musicians for coffee and cakes, supplied by the Three Swans Hotel.

Tickets for the concert, at 3pm on Sunday, cost £10 (concessions £8, under 18s free).
