WHILST passing through Market Harborough this Advent Sunday I heard the bells of St Dionysius ringing out – it was glorious.
I parked my car and went inside where the sound was quite muffled. Mr Bindley, a Harborough bellringer, told me that the ringing was a full peal of three hours duration by ringers from Nottingham among whom was the saviour (new owner) of Leicestershire’s famous Bell Foundry - Messrs Taylor of Loughborough. What a treat!
