WE WOULD like to congratulate Keith Britcliffe in achieving the not guilty judgement that he rightly deserves.
Keith has been giving our son private cornet lessons now for over five years.

We, like the vast majority of parents of his pupils, have never doubted his innocence and have supported him through this tremendous ordeal.

And what an ordeal it has been.

Keith has only ever wanted to encourage his music pupils to play to the best of their ability and to find himself not only in court, but also in the limelight of the local press has been a huge strain on his naturally strong and optimistic spirit.

I only hope that this episode can be put behind him and that the community will understand that being found not guilty on all charges means exactly that – not guilty.

I am sure that we speak for all his pupils, their parents and all members of the fantastic Harborough Training Band where he is conductor, that he has our complete trust. We will be delighted to see him carry on in his present duties for many years to come.

James and Kay Carpenter,

Station Road,

Great Bowden.
