ONE of the UK's top tribute acts to popular boy band Take That are performing a one-off gig in Tugby to raise money for a community building.
Fake That have been gigging for several years and aim to re-create the sound of the 1990s group, who recorded a string of hits including A Million Love Songs and Could It Be Magic?

The band are playing at Picks Barn, in Tugby, on Friday, July 4, from 8pm.

The gig is being held to raise money for the Tugby Centre.

Gig organiser Gill Hamblin said: “Take That have had a bit of a resurgence recently so we thought it would be nice to bring along the tribute band.

“This is the 12th year we have run gigs in aid of the Tugby Centre and they are always very well attended.”

The five piece simulate the original Take That line-up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams.

As well as performing the original band’s greatest hits, they feature tracks made famous by Robbie Williams in his solo career, including Angels and Rock DJ.

Support on the evening will be provided by Jimmie’s Rhythm, and there is a late disco.

Barbecue food will also be available to buy.

Tickets for the evening cost £12.50 and are available from the Fox and Hounds and Doughty’s Butchers in Tugby, The Sun Inn in Belton in Rutland, The Langton Arms in Church Langton, The New Greyhound and Don and Sue’s Shop in Billesdon or Pendulum Records in Harborough.

Alternatively, call 0116 2598240.
