YOUNG people are being given the chance to try out different athletics events in Harborough this week (July 21-23) as part of a national initiative Star:track, sponsored by Norwich Union, which aims to provide fun and athletic opportunities for those aged between eight and 15, regardless of ability.
It is being supported by Harborough District Council and run by UK Athletic-qualified coaches. Disciplines include triple jump, pole vault and javelin.

The event is at the town’s Welland Park College from Monday to Wednesday between 10am and 2pm. It costs £8 a day or £20 for the three days. People are being urged to book. Phone Andrew Watson on 01858 828282.
