A DRAMA society which was first formed 77 years ago is to host its first-ever matinee performance.
Market Harborough Drama Society is staging a comedy with a distinctly French flavour from this Tuesday (March 2) until Saturday, March 6.
It will see the introduction of the group's inaugural matinee performance.

April in Paris, by John Godber, follows the hilarious adventures of working class Yorkshire couple, Al and Bet, who win a romantic weekend for two in Paris in a women's magazine competition.

They go, they struggle with the phrase book, worry about the food, experience an incident on the Metro, and lots more. But the trip also opens their eyes to a life outside their normal existence and changes their outlook forever.

Both funny and touching, the play, starring Joff Brown and Liz Clarke and directed by Jan Wilson, is being staged at Harborough Theatre, in Church Square.

A new 3pm matinee performance, on the Saturday afternoon, is also being introduced to cope with the huge demand for tickets to MHDS shows. Tickets (£5-£9) are available from Harborough Council's offices in Adam and Eve Street, Harborough.
