Santa's sleigh rides through Harborough

SANTA Claus has started his annual sleigh tour of Harborough's streets.
The popular event will this year see Father Christmas visit more than 140 streets between Tuesday, December 1, and December 23.

As ever, Santa will be ably supported by his pals from the 3rd Market Harborough Scout Group.

The rides start at about 5.30pm on weekdays and 4.30pm at weekends.

The full schedule, which is subject to change, is as follows:

Tuesday, December 1: Gores Lane, Claremont Drive, Hartland Drive, Chatsworth Drive, Sandringham Way, Petworth Drive.

Wednesday, December 2: Andrew Macdonald Close, Clarence Street, Connaught Road, Albany Road, Edinburgh Close, The Broadway, Meadow Street, Orchard Street, Heygate Street, Kings Road, Ashfield Road, Roman Way, Symington Way.

Thursday, December 3: Jordan Close, Bellfields Lane, Scotland Road, Rectory Lane, St Nicholas Way.

Friday, December 4: Late Night Shopping in Harborough – the Sleigh will be outside the Old Grammar School in Church Square.

Saturday, December 5: The Furlongs, Thatch Meadow Drive, Ryelands Close, Fernfield Close, Simborough Way, Ashley Way, Long Brimley Close, stopping at Shelland Close

Sunday, December 6: The Ridgeway, Ridgeway West, Blenheim Way, Marlborough Way, Pochin Drive, Overfield Avenue, Sherrard Road, Hammond Way, The Oval, The Crescent.

Monday, December 7: Great Bowden - Station Rd, Horseshoe Lane, Knights End Road, Welham Road, Manor Road , Main Street, Burnmill Road.
Tuesday, December 8: Lubenham, Gartree and Foxton.

Wednesday, December 9: Willow Crescent, Brookfield Road, Westfield Close, The Pastures, The Firs, Farndale View.

Thursday, December 10: Highcross St, Adamswood Close, Knoll St, Logan Crescent, Northleigh Grove, Horsefair Close, Norbury Close, Austins Close, Fairway, Southleigh Grove.

Friday, December 11: Night off.
