A BAND which formed about a year ago has lined up a string of gigs after being featured in the NME.
The Working Projects, which is made up of Harborough duo Joe Faulkner (guitar) and Joe Laurence (drums), as well as James Sides (guitar, vocals and harmonica) from Clipston and Matt George (bass), from Crick, have been playing at venues in Harborough, Northampton and Leicester since first getting together.

The band was featured in the New and Unsigned section of last week's NME magazine.

Guitarist Joe said: "The other three band members met at Guilsborough School and I was a friend of theirs so we've all known each other for a long time.

"We've been playing pretty regularly over the last year or so, especially at the Oat Hill in Harborough."

The band describe their sound as a mix of blues and modern indie, and cite The Beatles, The Doors and The Libertines as their main influences.
They have lined up a number of appearances in February and March, including one at the Shed, in Leicester, on Wednesday, February 17, the Oat Hill, in Harborough, on Sunday, February 28, and the Shed again on Sunday, March 14.

For more information about the band, either visit their website at www.myspace.com/theworkingprojects or search for them on Facebook.
