AN ORIGINALLY-scripted comedy by Harborough-based Parsnips Youth Theatre is opening at the town's Welland Park College on Wednesday next week.
Standing Still is Moving Backwards by Claire Parsons, Dave Bower and Ria Bower stars nearly 50 13 to 18-year-olds and is about the small hamlet of Droning-on-Wye. It begins when Colonel McGuffin dies and bestows upon his community a room which he hopes will help unify their little society. It becomes the home of ante-natal classes, weight-loss groups, salsa and yoga sessions and for a time all is as it should be but changes are afoot. The show runs from Wednesday (December 9) until Friday, December 11, 7.15pm. Tickets £6 (£5 concessions) on the door or from Quinns Bookshop, Harborough, from Saturday.
