HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a day of music and fun at a special festival in Cotesbach.
The 12-hour music event was held at the Stable Yard off Main Street and included a line-up of bands, mostly from the Lutterworth area but also from further afield.

As well as the musical entertainment, there were also presentations and stalls held by the climate change charity Transition Towns, and Leicestershire County Council's waste awareness team.

Organiser Sophy Newton said the event had been "fantastic.

She added: "We couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was great and everyone enjoyed themselves.

"We had 370 people through the gates and at any point there were at least 100 people in the yard."

The festival took months to organise and Mrs Newton praised the work of all involved.

She added: "We've organised similar events in the past so we have a bit of experience but there are always a few last-minute emergencies.

"We'd like to organise something similar next year but it's too soon to say for definite."

Bands at the festival included Escher Rocks, The Elastic Band, The Backroom Boys, Rigger Mortice and Ferrari Without the I.
