STRAW versions of Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes are to make an appearance at Stoke Albany's annual Scarecrow Trail on Sunday.
This year's trail has a famous people theme and starts at the phonebox in Ashley Road, before finishing at the village hall, where refreshments and a barbecue will be laid on.

Visitors are invited to buy a trail map for £2.50 containing a quiz and cryptic clues to get them to the end of the trail.

There is a prize for the winners of the trail as well as a trophy for the best designed scarecrow.

Proceeds from the event will go towards a fund for roof repairs and new lighting at Stoke Albany village hall.
