A NEW season of some of the world's finest opera and ballet productions is being brought to the big screen.
The Odeon cinema in Kettering is working in conjunction with Opus Arte, one of the world’s leading providers of high-quality classical music content.

The season includes productions from some of the world’s finest companies – The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet, and The Glyndebourne Festival.

The next performance will be an all-new production of the seasonal favourite The Nutcracker on Sunday, December 13, as The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet combine to bring Tchaikovsky’s charming fantasy to fresh life.

The current season of seven shows ends in May 2010 with The Tsarina’s Slippers.

Marketing spokesman Simon Hopkins said: “After a very successful trial run of shows, including Carmen and La Traviata, we are delighted to continue with a great new programme of world-class opera and ballet content for the area.

“We look forward to welcoming local opera fans and ballet lovers from around the county and beyond to these special high-definition screenings.”

For further information or ticket booking, visit Odeon’s website www.odeon.co.uk, phone its booking and information line on 0871 224 1891 or head to the box office to pick up a season brochure.
