THE FINAL unit has been filled at one of Harborough's office developments with the further expansion of a town clothing firm.
Clothing brand Joules moved to The Point, off Rockingham Road, in 2007 when it combined its former Marston Trussell and Corby bases and has now taken the final building at the site.

It anticipates using the 6,000sq ft building to house additional work stations alongside sales and conferencing areas of its business.

Tom Joule, managing director of Joules said: "Since moving to The Point, the company has continued to grow and we have quickly reached the full capacity of our original building.

"We therefore took this second unit as we had a need for a convenient and local base to support the sales functions of the business.

"The company now has almost 400 employees nationwide and we have ambitious growth plans for the future. This building is another important step in supporting that growth."

All office units at The Point, developed by Westleigh Commercial of Leicester, have now been sold with its 130,000sq ft of office accommodation being taken up by IT, financial and travel sectors.

Harborough MP Edward Garnier visited The Point last month to mark the occasion and said: "This is a prestige site in a prestige town. There is no better place in which to set up a business and I can well understand why Joules have chosen to take on more office space at The Point.

"What is so encouraging for the local economy and employment scene is that we are seeing such confidence demonstrated in what for many companies throughout the country is a time of economic difficulty."

Westleigh's property director Matt Moore added: "The site has proved a huge hit, not only due to its excellent location, close to road and rail links, and its high specification but also as it has attracted both local companies looking to remain in the area whilst also introducing other firms who have chosen to establish themselves in the region."

Mark Brown, from Northampton-based selling agent Budworth Hardcastle, said: "The Point has been the most successful office scheme we've ever dealt with."
