RESIDENTS and business owners are being invited to the first meeting of the town's Safer and Stronger Communities Committee tonight (Thursday, July 5).
The committee was formed as a result of the Hands on Harborough event – a project held in March to discuss the future of the town – and is aiming to work with people, businesses and the police to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
Marion Lewis, who is championing the committee, is encouraging people to attend the meeting to raise any issues or concerns they might have. The meeting is at Harborough police station at 6pm and anyone wishing to attend will need to confirm by phoning Mrs Lewis on 0116 248 3871 or by email at mhnwsg@ntlworld.com.
