THE ROTARY Club of Harborough volunteered to provide the town with a fantastic concert last August.
As a result, the club has not only given the proceeds to the town but volunteers have put a great deal of time and effort into planting tress in the new play area in Welland Park and Devil's Island.

Overall, 400 saplings have been planted on Devil's Island and over 50 palms, silver birch, toparies, phormium and cordylines in the new play area.

It has taken 35 Rotarians a cumulative 16.5 hours to complete the planting.

The Club will be installing 10 picnic tables and chairs shortly.

The group has been nominated for the most committed volunteers award by Matthew Bills of Harborough District Council.
