Pauline Smith, of Canada Fields, Lutterworth, describes her garden as 'fairly wild' and has nominated herself in the Worst Garden category.
The winner of this category, which is sponsored by Edwards Buildbase in Harborough, will win items for a landscaping feature to improve and enhance the look of their garden – such as items for a patio.

Pauline, who is nearly 65 and now retired from her job in the Asda restaurant at Magna Park, said her garden is mainly a wildlife one full of unusual bits and pieces which most people throw out including a toilet and washing machine, but they have been made into decorative items which house lots of different flowers!

The garden includes two ponds – the larger one has fish in it and they are both home to a vast array of frogs and newts.

Pauline she says she doesn't want a formal garden although she says the trees need chopping back.

As you can imagine there is a large array of birds in her wildlife garden, from the usual sparrows and blackbirds to greenfinches.

She has often been asked by passers-by if she has an aviary because there are so many birds in her garden.
