TUCKED behind the the Strutt and Parker office in High Street, Harborough, sits Paddock Court, a block of ten privately-owned apartments.

It is a backwater part of Harborough which many people are unaware of, but it has lovely gardens and nice surroundings.

While the lawns are kept neat by contractors, a group of residents spend their time tending the small courtyard area outside and the flower beds are filled with a delightful variety of colourful plants and flowers to be enjoyed by all.

Residents love to sit outside together in the peace and quiet, with everyone getting on very well.

Margaret McKeever, who lives at Paddock Court and sent in the nomination for best team effort, said her neighbours are a nice friendly crowd.

She said: "There is a bird table, hanging seed baskets for the birds as well as a bird bath which is regularly maintained. As well as birds, squirrels and foxes are regulars to the garden, we have even seen three fox cubs."
