TALENTED rounders player Rachael Roberts has been nominated for Sports Personality and Sportswoman of the Year after she captained England's under-21 side.
The Kibworth 21-year-old led the England team to a 21.5-5 victory over Wales in the summer at the annual Wilkinson Sword challenge in Sheffield.
Rachael, who plays in the Harborough District Ladies Rounders League for the Market Harborough Ladies team, said at the time: “It was a fabulous win. My family is Welsh so there was some good family banter.”
In September she also attended trials for the England senior team.
A Loughborough University student, Rachael is no stranger to the Mail’s Sports Awards as she won the Sportswoman and Personality trophies back in 2005.
She has also been coaching the Market Harborough Ladies squad.
