AIR cadet Cadet Pippa Ball has achieved a very imp'essive first year as a member of the ATC.
Her sporting achievements demonstrate an all round sporting talent with the desire to participate and win that has resulted in a number of outstanding results across the corps' sporting range.

Pippa, of Wilson Close, Harborough, has been nominated for the Junior Sportswoman award by her commanding officer, Valerie Smith, who said: “Although she only joined the ATC late last year, she has successfully entered all sports available to her.

“Pippa has represented the Wing in nearly all sporting areas with additional representation at both region and corps level in cross country, hockey, swimming and athletics championships.

“On the squadron Cdt Ball is one of the unit’s leading cadets involved in sports.

“She encourages others to take part and motivates them to do their best.

“Outside the ATC, Pippa is a very keen sportswoman. She is involved in several sports clubs, and has received numerous awards and achievements.

“She holds the 100m championship title for the South Leicester schools.

“At school she is heavily involved in all sports, and holds the title of ‘School House Team Captain’.

“She was also awarded the school sports girl of the year earlier this year.

“As you can see Pippa is an extremely keen and well-motivated individual, participating in and enjoying a wide range of sporting activities.

“She is a great ambassador of 1084 Market Harborough squadron.”
