GRRRRRRRRRRREETINGS Newshounds! A sporty hello to everyone as I have news of a fantatsic competition being launched through my Harbie's Gang!
Have any of you heard about Sport Relief? It's a bit like the Comic Releif event which raises loads of money for charity but has a sporty theme where people are encouraged to get active to raise money for deserving causes.

There is a massive fun day happening in Harborough on Sunday, March 21, where there will be runs of one, three and six miles.

Well, my fab pals from event organisers Harborough Council and Sainsbury's want to give one lucky youngster the chance to put runners under starter's orders for the big one-mile race at 2pm. How cool is that! The winner will be able to set the runners off by pressing a loud airhorn!

To be in with a chance, all you have to do is write to my kennel explaining in a few words why you would like to do it. The address is: Harbie's Sport Relief Comp, The Mail, 9 Northampton Road, Harborough, LE16 9HB. The deadline for entries is March 15, so get writing gang – just make sure you are free on March 21st!

I had a grrrrreat opportunity to learn more about Sport Relief yesterday (Wednesday) when I visited Meadowdale Primary School in Harborough. Marianne Boyle, who is a fitness champion at the council, gave a grrreat assembly and told us how to get involved and why it is important to stay active.
Offical Sport Relief items have also now gone on sale at Harborough Sainsbury's such as water bottles, wristbands, bouncy balls, phone sleeves, socks and David Beckham T-shirts. All the cash goes to the Sport Relief charities.

To register for the run, visit the website www.sportrelief.com or phone 01858 828282.

Love Harbie xxx
