THE ABILITY to see ghosts, read into people's pasts and their futures and to speak to spirits is a gift claimed by clairvoyants.
Whether you are a sceptic or a believer, it is hard to hide a certain fascination with the unknown and in those who claim to have a third eye to see into a world beyond the one we know.

Clairvoyant Sharon Bray, a former student of Harborough’s Robert Smyth School, spoke to Mail reporter Jemma Crowston about her gift, which she describes as both a nightmare and a comfort.

Sharon has always known she was different – even as a child she saw the world differently.

Guided by a spirit, a nun she says is called Lillian, she has used her foresight to offer guidance to people searching for answers in their lives.

Over the past 20 years, Sharon says she has moved wherever the spirits pull her – a calling which has seen her live in Scotland for four years, then on to Daventry and finally to the village of Frolesworth, where she lives at the moment.

“I’ve had a very long experience,” she said, “and it’s been a nightmare because I’ve felt the pain of others but I can come out the other end to give people some comfort.

“I go wherever I am pulled and last year alone I moved 14 times, but I’m settled where I am now in Frolesworth.”

She added: “I call my service Rainbow Readings because I can show people the different paths they can take and it usually gives people some hope. I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t get calls from people who tell me that what I said to them has come true.”

When asked if she sees ghosts, Sharon replied: “I see them all the time.

“They’re all around us. I have a third eye which makes me see the world a lot differently to how you’d see it.

“I don’t get scared or shocked when I see them, it actually gives me a calming feeling.

“You can tell they’re ghosts because they don’t look from this world. They look like waxwork dummies.”

As well as giving people a reading, Sharon claims she has the ability to release spirits who are trapped in a building.

“I can go into a home, pub or wherever and I can go into a deep meditation with my hand of light, which is a porcelain hand with a candle in the middle, and the spirit will be free to leave the building.”

Sharon is seeking people to help her set up a paranormal investigations team.

She said: “I want to get a group together so we can go into buildings and delve into the history behind the spirits.

“I’ve already got about nine people who are interested and some of them are sceptics.”

She wants to hear from anyone interested in joining her or anyone who has an idea of a place they suspect is haunted.
