Students learn about varied life of a police officer

COLLEGE students got a taste of life as a police officer during a visit to the Harborough station

The students from South Leicestershire College were given a tour of the building in Leicester Road as part of their studies into uniformed services.

A career in the police can be varied and interesting - as the students found out when two stolen lambs were brought to the station having been safely recovered following a recent theft.

PC Andy Parkinson of Harborough police said: “We showed the students around the station and looked at the vehicles. We also explained the recruitment process to them.

“I think they found it really informative and they really engaged with it.”.
