Schools urged to enter road safety competition

SCHOOLS across Harborough district are invited to enter a road safety competition.

Foxton-based Recognition Express has launched its annual Design a Road Safety Banner Competition, in partnership with the road safety charity Brake.

Entry is open to primary schools across the country, which must submit ideas for a road safety banner to raise awareness.

There will be twelve regional prize-winners across the country, with winning designs printed onto a large banner for display outside school during Road Safety Week, which runs from November 19 to 25.

Winning schools also receive 300 high visibility drawstring bags each, along with a personalised award for the winning designer.

Foxton Primary School was one of the winners last year.

The deadline for entries to this year’s competition is October 19.
