DO any of our readers recognise themselves in this photograph of the Top Class at Fairfield Road Infants School taken on March 14, 1949?

Valerie Wise (nee Glasspool) who lives in Heckington, Lincolnshire came upon this old photo recently and shows the class of children all between six and seven years old.

Mrs Wise was able to name nearly all of her classmates - perhaps you know who the young girl is in the front row who is not named?

Back row: Miss Ellis, Susan Haddon, Michael Asher, Michael Downes, Brian Clark, Flora Perry, Susan Lapworth, Bill Branston, Carol Webster, Robin Elliot, Peter Buckle, Gillian White, Nina Bassett.

Middle row: Graham Jackson, David Tebbut, Graham Smith, Michael Ribbons, Philip Perry, Avril Wilford, Audrey Clarke, Joyce Hall, Roger Beard.

Front Row: Pat Goodman, Ann Parsons, Sylvia Kerrison, Eileen Arnold, Ruth Allsop, Susan Oliver, ?, Valerie Glasspool.

Mrs Wise thinks some of the grandchildren of those pupils will be interested to see them when ‘they were their age’.

If you have an old photograph you would like to be included in Memory Corner please bring or send it to the Harborough Mail, 9 Northampton Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9HB with as much information about it as you can give us.
