What is real cost of new bins?

HOW can Councillor Michael Rooks’ column be headed ‘New Bin system will save £200,000? (page 6, October 18).

Has he factored in the wasted cost of buying not only the two sizes of brown food boxes, but the paper and tins with glass boxes that we will now have no use for. Plus the cost of the new blue lid bins - one for each household?

Not all ratepayers are as gullible as some HD councillors would wish!

We have to use full and carbon footprint to dispose of these now useless boxes?

The so-called recycling waste collection cannot manage their own waste matter?!?

What is the true cost of yet another change of system?

Judy Hill,

Hall Lane,

Bitteswell.
