Visitor disgusted at dog mess

I FEEL I just had to write to you to ask if you are aware of the awful amount of dog mess on the fields adjoining the sports centre and football pitches in Market Harborough.

I visit my aunt every few weeks; she lives in Rainsborough Gardens. I have been visiting for about 20 years and never been so disgusted at the dog mess.

I have dogs myself and feel the people who live around the area are so lucky to have such a lovely space in which to exercise their dogs; I would love to have that kind of space near where I live.

But to see people too lazy to pick up their dog’s mess (you provide enough bins around the field) is to see people who are not responsible dog owners, plus they ignore the fact children play in these fields. I feel something needs to be done to catch these people who spoil it for everyone else.

I hope this will get some attention and not be swept aside.
