Supermarket donations are so important to us

During November we at Age Concern Lutterworth and District were chosen as one of the charities for the Waitrose Community Matters Scheme.

Because of the generosity of the customers of Waitrose in Lutterworth, this week we received a cheque for £1,341 from the scheme.

On behalf of the trustees, staff and volunteers of Age Concern Lutterworth and District we would like to thank the managers, staff and in particular the customers of Waitrose for their contribution which was most gratefully received.

We are a Lutterworth charity working for Lutterworth people and rely heavily on support such as that provided by Waitrose and their customers, and without which we simply could not continue providing our services and the assistance that so many older people need.

Being a small charity raising funds can be very difficult, this contribution will go to helping the older people of Lutterworth and the surrounding villages.

For more information about us call 01455 557116 or call in to our office at The Barn 12 Market Street, Lutterworth.
