Care home was wonderful

THE family of Gwen Hornsby would like to thank all the staff at Oxendon House care home.

Care Homes have had a bad press recently but she could not have been better cared for in her last three years at Oxendon House.

The warm, relaxed atmosphere, the music and dancing, but essentially it’s the individual carers who with endless patience make living there feel like home.

When it came to the last few weeks of Mum’s life, with the support of the Two Shires Practice doctors and nurses, Mum was able to stay at the home under the ‘end of life’ plan and pass away peacefully.

I cannot thank them all enough for looking after our precious mother in such a wonderful way.
