Elizabeth visit is a laughing matter

DESBOROUGH Royal British Legion women’s section members enjoyed an evening of Laughter, Readings and Song with Elizabeth Robinson from Drayton.

She came to entertain the members at their May meeting in a very simple but highly amusing way.

She also brought along greetings cards and other items for members to peruse and gave 10 per cent of sales to the Legion charity.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 20, when visitors from other branches will be attending too.

There are still seats available for the group’s outing to Bletchley Park on Saturday, July 21.

The price, including entry to the Park, will be £20. Anyone interested in travelling can contact Mary Coleman on 01536 761303.
