Christmas tree festival winners are announced

THE RESULTS of people voting for the best Christmas tree at a festival in Desborough are now in.

At the St Giles Christmas Tree Festival people cast their votes on which trees they liked best.

The favourite adult’s tree was The Puddin’ Tree by The Royal British Legion Woman’s section.

The women’s section of the Royal British Legion also won the category at last year’s St Giles Christmas Tree Festival.

The adult runner-ups were In the Pink by Bosom Friends and Angels Delight by Desborough and District Dolls Club.

The favourite children’s tree was The Christmas Market, by Aleece and Maisie Smith.

Runners-up in the children’s category were Walking in the Air by Havelock Infant School, RownTree by 3rd Desborough Cubs and Dinosaurus Tree by Loatlands Primary School Year 2.

In the raffle, the fair trade hamper was won by Mrs Codlife, the men’s watch by Mrs Wilson, the gingerbread house by Mrs Haygate and the lap tray by the Rev Mills Powell .

Various other prizes were won by a number of other people.
