Chimney fire in village

Firefighters were called out to deal with a chimney blaze yesterday afternoon.

A fire crew from Wigston station attended St Cuthberts Avenue in Great Glen at about 2pm yesterday (Monday).

The fire crew used a chimney kit, hearth kit and thermal imaging camera to tackle the flames, according to the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service daily report log.
