Charity seeking London Marathon runners

KIBWORTH-based Self Unlimited is urging people to take on the challenge of the London Marathon on Sunday 21 April 2013 and raise money for their charity at the same time.

The charity supports people with learning disabilities from nine regional centres across England.

It aims to help the people we support to live successfully as active citizens within their local communities and to take more control in their lives.

Self Unlimited has guaranteed places available for 2013, so if you have what it takes to run the 26.2 mile course across London then get in touch with them.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and subject to a £50 registration fee.

If you are interested please contact Kia Peutrill on 0116 279 32 25 or email events@selfunlimited.co.uk

The charity aims to raise over £10,000 from the 2013 London Marathon, which will help Self Unlimited to continue to help the people we support to live successfully as active citizens within their local communities and to take more control in their lives.

Director of Fundraising and Communications, Nigel Rose said: “The London Marathon is an exciting and challenging event, which not only raises millions of pounds for good causes like Self Unlimited, but also promotes fitness and well-being. Even if you are a novice runner, taking part is still possible with a sensible training plan and some real enthusiasm!”
