Great Bowden Recital Trust Junior X Factor finalists from 2010

A charity is offering young people the chance to become a junior X Factor finalist as part of a competition organised by it.

Young people can register now to take part in the Great Bowden Recital Trust Junior X Factor 2013 competition.

There are categories from young people in year one all the way up to year 13 students.

The competition was set up in 2010 to celebrate the musical talent of the young people in the areas.

Junior X Factor 2013 is open to individuals or groups whether they be vocalists or instrumentalists.

To enter, young people must live within 15 miles of Harboroug and be a vocalist or an instrumentalist.

Multiple entries are allowed into each category but not on the same instrument.

One piece is to be performed at the audition stage of up to four minutes in length.

A CD backing track or unaccompanied auditions only are permitted.

Heat dates for the Years 11 to 13 category take place on Friday, April 26 at the Great Bowden Village Hall.

The heat dates for Years seven to nine take place on Saturday, April 27 at Great Bowden Village Hall.

The heat dates for Years one to six take place at Great Bowden Village Hall on Sunday, April 28.

The final takes place on Saturday, May 11 at Welland Park Community College when each category winner will receive £50 of ABC Music vouchers.

The overall winner will receive an additional £100 of vouchers and the most promising performer on an instrument will receive finance for lessons for six months.

To register for the competition complete an application form which is available from the Great Bowden Recital Trust’s website at www.gbrecitaltrust.co.uk. Young people must register before March 31 and will then be contacted with the time of their audition.
