British heart foundation shop still beating after two decades

Harborough’s British Heart Foundation volunteers have celebrated the shop’s 20th birthday.

The shop is the charity’s fourth most profitable in the country, it was revealed last week, and last year it made a tremendous £163,000 after all other costs. About 64 volunteers help out at the shop, which is located at 1 High Street.

Some contribute every single day an shop manager Helen Coombes said: “They are all so loyal and friendly.”
